NURSING ASSOCIATES

The Nursing Associate role, is a generic nursing role that has been introduced to ‘bridge the gap’ between Healthcare Support Workers and Registered Nurses. Nursing Associates deliver hands-on, person–centred care, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, across a range of settings.

Nursing Associates are valued members of our Nursing team, who have gained a Nursing Associate Foundation Degree awarded by an NMC (The Nursing and Midwifery Council) approved Provider.

The apprenticeship journey involves two years of higher-level study (Level 5) with a University, enabling learners to perform more complex and significant tasks than a Healthcare Support Worker, but not with the same scope as a graduate Registered Nurse.
