Our Projects
We are constantly collaborating with various organisations and education providers to initiate innovative and impactful projects. With the support of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, NHS England, and the Integrated Care Board (ICB), we have ideated, strategised, and executed several projects - some of which are mentioned below.
Taste of the Workplace
The Academy recently partnered with Bedfordshire Police, Bedford Giving, and 4YP to launch a first-of-its-kind ‘Experience of Work’ initiative. This immersive programme offers young people a unique opportunity to explore careers in both healthcare and the police force, while developing essential life skills that are transferrable across any workplace. It empowers them to make informed decisions about their future careers, without the added pressure of securing increasingly hard-to-find work experience placements.
Ambassadors Network
We’ve partnered with over a hundred professionals and continue to grow this network. This is to inspire and empower the next generation of healthcare talent. Through our dedicated ambassador’s network, we can extend our reach, amplify our impact, and create meaningful connections with people considering a role in healthcare.

Mentoring Scheme
Through our partnership with 4YP and Bedford Giving, we provide mentorship that helps young people overcome barriers and confidently navigate their journey toward successful careers. While we champion pathways into health and social care, our broader goal is to equip every young person to excel – whatever career they choose to pursue.
Academy Advanced
In collaboration with the BLMK Integrated Care Board, we delivered employability and essential skills training to learners aged 18 and over who aspire to work in health and social care. The programme also provided a valuable opportunity for participants to network with peers from diverse backgrounds and rich life experiences, fostering shared learning and mutual support.
