T Level stands for Technical Level and this is a two year qualification for 16 to 19 years olds after they have finished their GCSE’s. Although T Levels are a Government initiative the qualification has been designed with employers to provide the skills needed within the future workforce, while developing a T Level students knowledge, attitude and practical skills to help them thrive in the workplace.
The T Level Health course started at Bedford College in September 2021 and industry based placements then commenced in October 2021 at the Bedford Hospital site for 13 students undertaking the programme as a pilot. The students are guided through the transition from classroom based theory into practical application in a clinical setting, with placements including a multitude of clinical and non-clinical environments.
